YOUNG PEOPLE'S DAY.

The young people's demonstration in connection with the national congress of the Salvation Army attracted a large attendance at the Town Hall last evening, and was an unqualified success. The programme was a varied and attractive one, and was carried out in a manner which reflected the greatest credit on those who were responsible for its preparation and arrangement, and the children deserve high praise for the manner in which they did their part. The choruses were well rendered, and the physical exercises, marches, etc., deserved the applause which was given to the children who took part in' them. The Wellington South primary division gave a pretty scena, "The Finding of the Baby Moses." Warm appreciation was also bestowed on the item, "Ideals and Insignia," given by the Lifesaving Guard Troops. "Golden' Gleams" by the "Kilbirnie Sunbeams" was a charming variation in an excellent programme.
