PROPERTY SALE
Messrs. S. George Nathan and Co. submitted to public auction yesterday afternoon, at their rooms, 105, Customhouse quay, under instructions from the Hutt County Council, fifteen seaside home sites, on the Main Eastbourne road and Mahina road, there being a good attendance of buyers. The bidding was keen throughout, arid every section was sold, thirteen being sold under the hammer and the remaining two sections directly afterwards. The sections realised from £75 to £100: Lot 1, £140, Mr. J. Harris as agent; Lot 2, £110, Mr. T.-Sherlaw; lot 4, £140, Mrs. E .Mulhorn: lot 5, £150, Mr. R H. Liddle; lot 8, £75, Mr. C. V. Fordham; lot 9, £100, Mr. F. W. Vickevman; lot 10, £90, Mr. D. E. Fouliy; lot 13, £100, Miss Craddock; lot 11. £120; lot 12, £120; lot 14, £150; lot 15, £160; lot 16, £85; lot 17, £100; lot 18, £75. The latter sections were sold to Mr. E. Birch as agent. The total sale realised £1715. The firm also offered two small cottages and a vacant section at Paraparaumu Beach. As the reserve was not reached, they were passed, and are now in the hands of the auctioners for private sale.
