RAILWAY EXCURSIONS

Throughout the present summer season the Railway Department in carrying out its arrangements for the transport of excursionists has made quite a number of innovations in regard to special trains and fares. The latest enterprise is in the form of a seaside excursion. On Saturday a special train-is being run from Wellington to Plimmerton at an all-round fare of 2s adults, and Is for children. A feature of the fares is that for the purpose of this excursion the age limit for children has been raised from 12 to 15 years. Particulars of the train times will be found in our advertising columns.
