LODGE MEETING

The increasing interest manifested by members of the Loyal Antipodean Lodge of Oddfellows, Manchester Unity, was evident by the attendance at the fortnightly meeting held on Tuesday evening, when Bro. A. V. Cooke, N.G.,' presided. Two candidates were initiated, and one proposal for membership was received. The agenda paper for the district conference, to be held in March, was received. An important report:on the consolidation of sick funds was received from the District Management Committee, and will form an important subject for tie annual conference. Bros. R. Boys and C. Flaws were, appointed to attend the conference. Lodge honours were accorded to Bros. Snelling (Manawatu), Smith (Britannia), and F. Taylor, P.G. (Napier). An invitation from Loyal Combination Lodge (Johnsonville) to attend a celebration of the jubilee or their Lodge was accepted. After business had been disposed of a degree meeting was convened, and Bro. A. Wainwright. v .G., was invested with the gold degree, Bro. H. J. Dormer, P.G., acting as lecture master. Afterwards the Lodge adjourned for refreshments and harmony.
