ALLEGED THEFT OF BENZINE

ROTORUA, 10th February. At the Magistrate's Court, Thomas Smith, Reginald Phillips, and James Moyno wore charged with-tho theft of six gallons of benzine, the property of "W. A. Thomscn, from the Terraces Hotel, Taupo. Sergeant Cooper applied for a remand to Auckland, and opposed bail, as other, charges wero pending against accused. They were remanded to Auckland for seven days,! pending, the finding of threo sureties of £50 each. ■
