PICNICS
ODLHSTS STAFF.
The annual picnic of the staff and employees of the C. and A. Odlin Timber and Hardware Co., Ltd., was held on Saturday l*st on Trenthaxn Racecourse. A very enjoyable day :was spent, about 400 travelling out by rail. Mr. O. S. Wafckins (chairman of directors) and Mrs. Watkins, and Mr. C. C. Odlfn (managing director) and Mrs. Odlin were present, Mrs. Watkins presenting the. prizes at the end of the day. The results of the sports events are' as follows:—100yds handicap: D. Beck L E. King 2, E. Southern 3. Three-legged race: Dead-heat, Mr. W. R. Thomas and Miss F. PragneH, Mr- Doorne and Miss Rowe. Retay race: Timber Department. Cigarette race: Mr. and Mrs. E. King 1, D. Beck and Mias Stott 2. Single ladies' race: Mi* Baker. 1, Miss Odlin 2. Married ladies' Tax: Mrs. E. Murray 1, Mtb. F. M'GraiiK 2. 220 yds nandicaj):: Mr. gteadman L Mr. Butler 2, Mr. T. Watchman 8. Boot race: Mr. Wekford 1, Mr. J. Murray 2. Stepping the chain:: Miss Alexander 1. Egg and spoon race: Miss Baker 1, Mra. Murray 2. Mixed relay race: Timber Department. Tug-of-war: Timber Office.
