THE LIMITED
SIR ERNEST RUTHERFORD'S
EXPERIENCE.
"Travelling through New Zealand," said Sir Ernest Rutherford, while speaking at the Town Hall today, "I have been more and more impressed with the great fertility of this country. New Zealand is a, land of promise such as I know of nowhere else. There is a great opportunity for young people to live a more prosperous life than in any other Dominion, and I hopo that young people will appreciate that fact.
"One hears a great deal of criticism, perhaps not exactly criticism, of New Zealand by Now Zealanders. For instance, I am told that New Zealand railways arc a long way behind those of other countries. -Lady Rutherford and I have just travelled down by tho Limited, aud wo can say that we have never had a more comfortable night's rest and journey. I will make no comparisons, for comparisons arc odious, but I have recently been travelling iii Canada and Australia."
