Though no official confirmation as to whether a declaration similar to that reported to have been made in Auckland has been made in Wellington was procurable to-day, owing to tho fact that all union offices were, closed mid officials absent on account of Hie general holiday, (lie strike to ul! intents and purposes is practically off here.
