RAILWAY CUTS
An amendment to the Eailway Estimates moved by Mr. P. Eraser (Wellington Central) in the Housn of Representatives- " this morning, that the total vote should be reduced by £5 as an indication that the conditions of employment obtaining previous to the railway strike should be restored, was defeated by 32 votes to 26.
