AUSTRALIAN TAXATION.
From Commonwealth returns of taxation for 1924-25, now available, It Is learned that over 68 per cent, of the 'total revenue collected by the Government came from Customs and excise. The aggregate for the year was £37,----192,781, as against £85,750,784 for 1923-24. Tha Treasurer expects to obtain £87,890,000 from the same source during the ourrent year.
