PENSIONS FOR ORPHANS
"I can hold out no hope of pensions for orphans," declared tho Minister of Pensions in the House of Representatives yesterday, replying .to a suggestion to that effect.
He said ho did not intend to advise tho Government to bring down a Pensions Bill for that purpose. He hoped that sooner or later some scheme would be brought forward which would make provision for orphans, and which would relieve the Education Department of the work it was doing to assist them.
