HATAITAI CLUB,

The annual general meeting of the Hataitai Bowling Club was held in the club's pavilion on Monday evening, the president, Mr. H. A. Shepherd, presiding over about fifty members. The president, in moving the adoption of the report and balance-sheet, commented on the strong financial position of the club. ■ • ' The election of officers resulted as under:—President, Mr. H. E. Cometti; hon. auditor, Mr, H. D. Edwards; delegate to Wclj lington Bowling .Centre, Mr. J. Kershaw; sole selector, Mr. 11. A. Sliepherd; match committee, Messrs. W. Moeller, R. A. Bplland, and J. Carrad. A presentation of a case of pipes was made to Mr. J. R. Rogen an his retirement as hon. treasurer. With regard to the pennant competition for tho coining season, the club decided, by an overwhelming majority, to i. urge ilio centra to play the pennant competition on a membership percentage basis, so as to allow approximately onethird of tho members of clubs to partici- ' pate. Failing this suggestion being adopted, the delegate was instructed to bring forward a further proposal to allow clubs which so desire to enter any multiple of four rinks in tho pennant j competition.
