"If the Christchurch "City Oosncil had made such a hopeless bungle of tha people's business as has been done by the Wellington City Council," declared, Mr. H. T. Armstrong (Christcburoh. East) in the House of Representativesl last night, the Christchurch electors s would see to it at the nest election." Mr. R. A. Wright (Wellington Sub-* urbs): "What about Coleridge?" Mr. Chairman: "Order." "What about the milk supply of the! Wellington City Council?" asked Mr.Armstrong. Mr. Chairman: "Order. I suggest ."" that the hon. member keep to the Bill."The speaker enlarged upon his refers ence to the Wellington milt supply and the purchase and subsequent loss by the council of a certain milk.-round, and said that "if Christchurch citizens had had such an experience of their council not only would they have refused to en* trust them any longer \vith_ the affairs of the city, but they would not even, have trusted 'them with a fish shop" .< said Mr. Armstrong. ' j Mr. H. E, Holland (Buller) turned: around and passed an inaudible remark to his colleague, who laughed, and»add- | ed, "I am afraid the Chairman would; not allow me to deal with fish."
