GRAND OPERA HOUSE.
An audience that filled the Grand Upera House last night witnessed the second performance by the J. C Williamson Entertainers. There is infinite variety in the show, from the wonderful impersonations of characters in Dickens by Mr. Bransby Williams, supreme m his chosen art, to the Hadji Kadir Arab troupe, superb ' acrobats. Of the four Dickens characters selected by" Mr. Williams for interpretation the first and the last, Montagu Tigg and old Smallweed, were perfect masterpieces, lingering in the memory. The choice of artists is international. Mile. Solange Landry and M. Julia charmed with their graceful dancing; music was represented by Mr. George Castles in song^and Signor Torzillo on the harp, while Anna, and Louis introduced some effective comedy into their instrumental work. Spencer Ward and- Gertrude Long collaborated in a finished performance of peculiarly English flavour with wit and song. Arthur Lucan, eccentric pantomime dame, with Kitty M'Shane. kept the audience in fits of laughter with'"an amusing sketch, and A. V. Robinson, Canadian raconteur, after winning his audience with humorous • yarns, showed astonishing skill in mimicry with a, moutli organ. There is hot a dull moment in the whole entertainment. The Williamson Entertainers will give a, matinee performance to-morrow afternoon.
