Madame de Luen's, in Coleman Place. Ladies, there is nowhere else just as good, not a bit. of it. Madame de Luen's is the fashion centre o£ Palmerston North. This is where the good, attractive goods are displayed in homely fashion, just as private as it would be in the midst of your own home and friends. Now, Coleman place, as it is termed, is opposite the Union Bank, and Madame de Luen's Salon is situated upstairs. Here, those ladies who •will be visiting the Show can pass a very pleasant hour inspecting the latest fashions in, feminine wear. While Madame de Luen specialises in tailor-made costumes, and her. reputation for high-class work of this description is known far and wide, this. is only one small fraction of her trade. Some of the most gorgeous ball dresses, dinner and evening gowns, and wraps the writer has every seen under one roof, are just now being displayed, and afford visitors an opportunity of seeing something of the latest Paris, American, and London fashions, without going beyond their own country. It Would, indeed, take an expert to describe all the lovely and fascinating articles of ladies' wear to be seen here, and the writer's advice to all who appreciate good dress is to visit Madame de Luen's. It is a treat in store for you when coming to Parmerston North. One special line that attention must be directed to is that of silk stockings, imported direct from France, America, and England.
