AUCKLAND, This .Day. :: Batter received for. grading at the Auckland Farmers' Freezing Company's grading: stores during .April totalled 113,283 boxes, compared with 92,367 for the. corresponding month of last year, an increase of 20,916 boxes. This brings the total receipts for the season to 30th April'to ,1,322,190 boxes, against 1,383,930 received during. the corresponding period of last season, a decrease of 61,740. The figures for last month show a consistent weekly increase compared with April of last year, 'As a result,-the jdeficit for the,:season has: teen reduced from-83,456 boxes at the end of March to 61,740 at the end of April. :: Unless the advent of cold weather.reduces herd'production this month, the output for the season should come very close to the record production". of last season. : •■-.-. .

Dairying operations in the province apparently were not seriously . restricted, by the railway strike. Butter receipt* for the week ended 30th April totalled 24,986 boxes, against 20,094 for the cor-! responding week of last year, an increate oi. 4892 boxes. ' '. ■ .

". Cheese received during April totalled 10,143 crates, against 9441 for April, 1923, an increase of 702. The cheese leceived to the end of April this season •totalled 151,078 crates, . compared with 95,590-for the corresponding period of last season, an increase of 55,468. Buttei and cheese held in store at the end of April totalled. 81,902 boxes' and 12,142 crates respectively, compared with 58,483 boxes and 2273 crates at the similar period'of last year. ■ '.; ,
