_ A deputation from the Auckland Council of Christian Congregations recently waited on the Land Agents' Association'l asking that the sanctity of the Sabbath Day might be safeguarded by the members of the association refusing to advertise sales of property, which might be viewed on Sunday. The deputation was received in a most friendly spirit, and jjhe association agreed to fall in with the request which had been made to -them I although one member outside the associa- I ! tion would not a^ree to fall into line- [ with the others. [If the population of South Africa goes on increasing in the present ratio within the next 50 years the white population will have grown to 4 OOD.OCO, while the blacks will number 27,000,000.
