KING'S THEATRE.
"A Lady of Quality," the final screening, of which is notified at the King's Theatre, is a Universal production which produces faithfully the atmosphere of one of the most romantic periods of English history. The supporting programme is also excellent. Laurette 'Taylor, who has won the hearts of a million of people with her famous characterisation of the delightful Peg in J. Hartley Manners's play, "Peg o' My Heart," will again be seen in her celebrated role, this time in screen form at the King's Theatre to-morrow night. As a stage play "Peg o' My Heart" has had one of the most phenomenal runs in theatre history. Is-has had 6608 performances in the United States abne. It has been played in England, Australia, New Zealand, South Africa, India', Hawaii, Italy, Czecho-Slovakia, and Paris. Miss Taylor covers herself with distinction in the screen version, through her sympathetic and tender portrayal of Peg. Shades of her whimsical character, never fully developed in the spoken play, because of the natural limitations of the theatre, are. depicted in the celluloid, version, and it is the opinion of many who have seen, the stage play that- the photoplay, even excels its charm of characterisation of Miss Taylor's own inimitable Peg of the footlights. Owing to a number of requests having been made, Mr. Herbert F. Wood, the wellknown New Zealand tenor, will sing " Peg o', My Heart." In addition, *a strong supporting programme will be submitted in both music and pictures. The box plan is now open at The Bristol. .
