LONDON, 30th January. Nayal circles point out that the floatag dock originally towed to Chatham •ii sections had. other sections of the dock added, making the dock suitable for Malta, in view of the battle squadron (.f the Atlantic fleet shortly joining the Mediterranean fleet. A second ex-Ger-man floating dock in available for Malta in the event of. the larger one going" to Singapore; whither it could be. towed in eight sections, minimising the riskg of the voyage. .-Opponents of the scheme interpret the Admiralty's floating dock proposal as merely an attempt to achieve its end gradually, outmanoeuvring the Labour Government.
