EVENING MEETING
Another, successful athletic meeting was held last'night at "the" Petone"Recreation Ground, under the auspices of ,the Hutt Valley Amateur Athletic Club. The weather was ideal, and the track in good order, and the evening's sport was thoroughly enjoyed by a large number of spectators. J)etails: — 100 Yards.—F. Gorrie (9yds) 1, N. Craig (10yds) 2, W. Winnie (4yds) 3. One Mile.—C. Bowler (85yds) I,' W. Payne (130yds) 2, L. A. Payne (115yds) 3. i ' 300 Yards.—G. Gorrie 1, W. Winnie 2, A. Jones 3. • .
Eeiay Race, one mile (880yds, 440yds, 440yds).—A team (N. Craig, E.- Foster, F. Sanders) 1, B team (L. Payne, C. Bowler, 8.. Barker) 2, C team (W.-Payne, 'A. Dome,.A. Jones) 3. The next of these meetings takes place on Petone Recreation Ground on Wednesday, 13th February, at'6 o'clock. Events: 220yds, 440yds, B§6yds, boys' race, and relay race. Wellington competitors are ' cordially invited to support these meetings, and thns encourage amateur dthletes in the Hntt- "Valley. Entries. will be received by Mr. A. 0. Kitto (Wellington) or Mr. M.
