PARTY MEETING CALLED
(SIDNEY SUN CABLE.)
LONDON, 10th December. Sir William Bull, M.1?., is calling a meeting of Conservatives for the purpose of opposing the su^estion that Mr. Baldwin should immediately resign and advise the King to send for Mr. Macddtlald.
■Mr. Austen ■Chamberlain, when, informed of the pressure upon ;Mr. .Baldwin to defer Ins resignation, said: "It would he a great mistake to prolong the uncertainty-and defer the solution of the crisis to mid-January. If We cannot ccvrl'.y out our policy, we will har-, 1 ■momse. with the pasty's.great traditions and riot offer 'vexatious opposition to any moderate Government offering a prospect of stability."
