GRANT IN AID IF DOMINIONS ASSIST.
LONDON, 23rd November.
The Duke of Devonshire, in a letter generally approving the- recommendations of the Imperial .Institute- Committee, states that- the Government is prepared to propose to Parliament an annual grant "of-,£9000 . Jfor, ( fiye"^ears.,. a^d. invites the colonies and "protectorates to agree, to a contribution between them annually, of £8000 for the.same period, on the condition>only! that, the^.Governments of the Dominions and India give assurances that they will;make a'contribution totalling £8000.-for a -fixed period of five years. .-•••■'■.
