MELBOURNE, This Day. The weather was fine and the going good at Flemington. Heir Apparent galloped a mile on the tan in lmin 51sec, the last three furlongs in 39sec. King Ingoda and Bitalli did twelve furlongs on the tan in 2min 43sec, the last mile in lmin 48isec. Shrapnel ran half a mile in 51£ sec, but finished scratchily. Duke Isinglass covered six furlongs in lmin 19sec. Claro did half a mile in 50£ sec, the last two furlongs in 24sec. Rahiri and Mirthmaker were in company for ten furlongs, their time being 2min 13sec. Note beat Rapine over ten furlongs in 2min 14£ sec. Fred Power and Prince Hugo galloped ton furlongs in 2min 13|sec, Rivoli ten furlongs in 2min 13jjsec, Backwood (H. Jones) ten furlongs in 2min 15^sec, and Englefield ten furlongs in 2min 14|sec. Versine and Glaxy sprinted four furlongs in 50|sec.

At Caulfield, on the grass, David did nine furlongs in lmin 56isec, Stormy Day nine furlongs in 2min l^sec. Kappv Queen covered ten furlongs l.\ 2miri 23

sec. The Cypher {J. Rosen) did nine furlongs in 1-min 574 sec, and- half a, mile in blisec, and six furlongs in lmin 16i sec. Drongo galloped a'mile in lmin 44isec, and Stare nine furlongs in lmin 58sec. Harvest King's time for seVen ,«.<?",?? was lmin 31sec- Sister dive (O bullivan) did eleven furlongs in 2min 29Jsec; Penshurst (J. Rolfe), ten furlongs in 2min 19sec; and King of Mirth (J Hopwood) twelve furlongs in 2min 42isec. Leahcnm galloped a mile in lmm 47sec, and Wynette seven furlongs in lmin 32sec. Kaiwarra did three furlongs in 37jsec.
