Amongst the papers acquired by the "Daily Mail" proprietary from the Hulton Trust are the "Evening Standard," the "Daily Sketch," and the "Sunday Herald," published in London, and several Manchester dailies and weeklies. It is authoritatively stated that Lord Beaverbrook has purchased the " Pall Mall Gazette," which will be absorbed in the " Evening Standard."
