HATS BY MAIL

"FRAGILE" SYSTEM WANTED

IMPORTANT TRADE LOST.

(ONITED PRESS ASSOCIATION.—COPTRIGHT.)

SYDNEY, This Day. A deputation of business men asked tho Postiha-ster-General that the fragile system be restored. It was stated that as a result of the elimination of tho system Australian hat-makers were unable to send hats to New Zealand, because they got crushed, and trade amounting to £50,000 annually in the export of hats to New Zealand had been lost. Exporters will pay any reasonable amount for the restoration of the former facilities. Mr. Gibson promised to give consideration to the question.
