BELGIAN ARGUMENT
EXPECTED TO CAUSE SENSATION.
LONDON, 23rd August. The "Daily Telegraph's" Brussels correspondent says the portion of the Belgian reply regarding Belgium's claim to priority will probably cause something of a sensation. It will follow from figures to be quoted that Britain has received, from Germany sums at least equal to those which by prior right up to the present belong to Belgium. The remainder of the reply, after establishing the absolute legality of the Ruhr occupation will be devoted to sketching a plan of reparations which might serve as a basis for discussion and lead to/ a definite agreement.
