The North Island guests will leave for Wellington approximately at 11.30 p.m. to connect with the ferry steamer, which will be held back for them.
.At Otira to-morrow there will be light refreshments' for only a limited number, hence visitors to the opening ceremony are; advised to take a hamper with them. There will be plenty of hot .water available. ''i ;-- r THE BANQUET. It is expected that tjhere will- be about 300 people,-including the invited guests, at the bariquet to-be held in the Caledonian Hall, Christchurch. in the evening.
