SPECTACLED RABBITS.
A point in favour of the North Island in the North v. South argument was stated by the Hon. j. A. Hanan (Invercargill) in the Hpuss of Representatives last evening. Referring to the fact that rabbits are fewer in number in the northern parts of the Dominion than in the southern districts, Mrl Hanan said that one did not find the rich pastoral land in the extreme north that was to be found in the south.
" In fact," he said, " I am told that in some parts of the North Island the rabbits require spectacles to see the grass."
