FUR PER ACRE.
'Apparently there are those in NewZealand whp have hopes of the fur trade becoming one of the principal industries of the. country. Speaking in the House of Representatives" last evening, Mr. T. D. Burnett (Temuka) asked how it was expected to exterminate the rabbit pest when some people held the idea that fur would give a- greater return per acre than wheat and other agricultural produce.
