Captain Erhardt, Germany's most dangerous reactionary, escaped from' prison at Leipzig while serving a three years' sentence in connection with the Kapp coup.V The Government has offered twenty-five million marks for his capture, and-also'suspended the director of the prison. Erhardt went to the celli.rs for a cold bath, a privilege granted owing to the intense heat, and when returning he asked to be.allowed to go back to fetch some soap. Instead, he escaped through three, iron doors which had been left open by confederates inside and outside tlie prison.
