•" LONDON, 16th July.: : The "Morning Post's" Heisingfors correspondent says the Soviet authorities , in. Moscow recently shot the wellknown clowns,. Bim and 'Bom, who. had beeii making themselves objectionable by ridiculing the: Soivet leaders. The State circus endeavoured to conceal the shooting by billing their names and instructing .other clowns to imitate Bim andBom. Ah impresario named Afanaseff, , however, wrote to the newspapers accusing the State circus of fraud, whereupon the State circus sued Afanaseff, alleging that his statement had caused their financial loss. With queer logic the Soviet Court rejected the circus plea, yet ordered Afanaseff to be arrested and thrown into prison.
