LASZLO SCHWARTZ.
Laszlo Schwartz, like so many of his fellow Hungarian artists, is a "born violinist." Ha will give one concert only in the Concert 'Chamber of the Town Hall next Saturday, when he will be assisted by Miss Etta; Field, a dramatic soprano, who claims New Zealand as her birthplace, and iliss Evelyn Hardy, who will preside at the- piano. In an age when so many artists seem bent on outdoing one another with dazzling musical exhibitions, it is a- great relief to find an artist who seems destined to become famous in. the musical world. Laszlo Schwartz is at present on a world tour, during which he is both playing and lecturing on the soulful melodies of his native land. He is a composer of merit, and Migs Field sings a number of his compositions. The box plan will open at The Bristol to-morrow morning-.
The wet weather of the past few days has hampered work in connection with the renovations at the Colosseum Skating Rink. It is hoped, however, that the premises will be available at an early date, of which due notice will be given.
Extensive preparations are being made for "Flirt Night" at the Ambassador on Wednesday, 16th May. Reservation can be made now.
