KARORI v. HUTT.
Good clean hockey characterised the game, at the Hutt between the local team and Karori. The issue wns stoutly contested, and had the ground been dry, the game would have been unusually fast. There was little infringement of the rules governing the stick game, and a fast, interesting struggle resuletd in a win for the town team by 3 goals to 1. First blood went to Karori, a well-de-served shot by Heaphy finding the net, and a little later another goal was scored by Watchman. Hutt were not downhearted, however, and a good combined movement resulted in their scoring, but R. Cooper once more increased Karori's lead, by a brilliant shot. Karori's forward line was fair, with the exception, perhaps, of Hemsley, who last week played among the halves, and was therefore ruther off the forward
game. Perrin played well at full-back. The tame was well controlled by Mr. N. Judd.
