HUIA v. WELLINGTON.
Playing two men short, Huia made a determined stand against Wellington, but. after a hard.game, lost by 5 goals to 1: Wellington showed improved combination, although they had_ little up against them, and O'Brien at inside right, and Hogan at right wing, played unusually well. Armstrong, the centre-half, played a sound defensive game when called upon, although hi? team was mostly on the aggressive. Roberts, in goal, effected 6ome great saves for Huia, and Stacey, the bully, and Diaper, on the left wing, also wejfi well to the fore. Huia missed their old centre-forward, E. Guy, who previously was always at the head of their advance guard.
