EMPRESS THEATRE.
Clean-cut comedy, with a spice of drama, is unfolded in "A Tailor-made Man," featuring Charles Ray, which is being shown at the Empress Theatre. Charles Ray specialises in stories which. are not crammed ; with mystery and terror, but are simple and snappy. His latest release is a United Artists production, and 1 shows the truth of the old adage that fine feathers make fine birds. A charming love story between a young man and a society girl lends a touch of romance. Jacqueline Logan, Ethel Grajidin, and other favourites support Charles Ray. The indoor scenes are magnificent, and the sumptuous settings in the Stanlaw mansion, the Knickerbocker Club, and the Nathan yacht saloon form a fitting background for this quick-moving comedy-drama. There is an Empress news film, a clever > comedy, and the orchestra plays delightfully, and features a xylophone eb!o by Mr. Hoy Brinsden.
