MAGISTRATE'S COURT
Mr. F. K. Hunt, S.M., presided at the Magistrate's Court to-day when police and maintenance cases were heard.
Two first offenders for drunkenness were ordered to forfeit the amount's of their bail, 10s ill each .case.
Frederick Joseph Gribble, with three previous convictions for insobriety, was fined £2, in default seven days' imprisonment. "I'll send you to Rotoroa if you don't look out," admonished the Bench.
The information against William Smith, alias William Ernest Smith, alias William Henry. Cox, of stealing £2 6s, the property of Samuel Mitford, was' dismissed.
Allan William Wishart, charged with failing to maintain his wife, was remanded to appear at Christchurch in a week's time.
