PALMERSTON N., This Day.
The Minister of Public Works (the Hon. J. G. Coates) to-day risited the Mangahao electric works. In the afternoon Mr. Coates returns to Pahnerston North. To-morrow he inspects the improvement works in the Manawatu Gorge, w-heh representatives of contributing' local bodies, also chambers of commerce and members, of the board, meet the Minister to go into the question of the amount of the Government subsidy on the work. . . '
