Among other matters which would claim attention in the near future were the state of the roads, which were undeniably in a very,'bad' condition; also the river; and in time to come the electric power, shortly to"be installed. Membership was confined to residents of the Epuni Riding, of the age of eighteen years and upwards. Monthly meetings, on the second Tuesday in each month, will be held, and it is proposed to arrange for a much greater use to be made of the now hall, by way of lectures, classes, etc., than is the case at present.- In the past, the Taita district has been somewhat at a standstill, but it haa nevertheless made solid progress.
