BURGLARY REPORTED
Premises on Lambton-quay, occupied by Messrs. Blaxali and Fleck, working jewellers, and Mr. F. • Elbe, were entered on a recent night and a quantity of articles, stolen. Tho workshop of Messrs. Blaxali and Fleck was ransacked, and from it unmounted stones, five gold chains, and othor articles o! jewellery, valued at between £50 and £60, were taken. From the tailoring establishment, however, the haul amounted only to a, coat, a vest, and a pair of trousers. It is thought that two persons took part in the burglary, and that entrance through doors of the premises was gained by tho use of a braco ana bit. A billiard room near by is said to have been also entered. The police are investigation tho matter.
