VISITING RECHABITES
DELEGATION FROM BRITAIN.
By the Tahiti, which arrived yesterday from San Francisco, two important 'delegates reached New Zealand to take part in the jubilee of the New Zealand Independent Order of Rechabites. They were Mr. Amos Tomlinson, High Chief Ruler, and Mr. J. H. Lear-Caton, Past High Chief Ruler. The delegates were met at the wharf by prominent Rechabites and escorted to the Thorndon Railway Station to proceed to Auckland to commence their visitation. They will return next week to take part in the celebration at Wellington. Fifteen days were spent in America, where they attended the Rechabite High Conference at Washington, ahd'were welcomed by Sir Auckland : Geddes, British "Ambassador, and were presented by the American High Chief to President Harding at the White House, the President of America welcoming 1 them as representatives of one' of Britain's greatest • friendly societies.
