TRENTHAM TRAINING NOTES

The weather was dull and threatening at Trentham this morning when operations started. Rain set in at 6.13, and continued steadily, and it looks as if the going will be heavy for Thursday. The outside of the course proper and the straight half-mile for two-year-olds were available. The first ont were Blackmail and Sunny Corner, who finished in the order named at the end of seven furlongs in lmin 34sec. ■ ■ , Absurdaim came away from Surveyor at the end of five furlongs, which took lmin ssec. \ Rational, who arrived the previous day, went once round at a strong pace.
