The Gore Racing Club's Meeting opened to-day in uncertain weather. The track was slippery. There was a fair attendance. Results :—
Otaraia Hack Welter Handicap, of 150 sovs; eeven furlongs.—Francaise, 8.12, 1; Calibration, 8.7, 2; Soldiers' Pride, 8.7, 3. Scratched : Bright Spot. Won by three lengths. Time, lmin 28 2-ssec.
Riversdale Trot, of 175 sovs; two miles. —Lenamhor, 72yds bhd, 1; Fashion Queen, 48yds bhd, 2; Harold's Treasure, scr, 3. All started. Wdn by six lengths. Time, 4min 51sec.
Racing Club Handicap, of 400 sovs; one.and a-quarter miles.—Bonnie Winkie, 7.2, 1; General Advance, 9.0, 2; Silent King. 8.0, 3. All started. Won by two lengths. Time, 2min 6 2-ssec.
