At a meeting of the Wairaxapa Automobile Association, held at Greyrown, a request for sign posts at the approach to the Alfredton School was referred to tho Eketahuna branch. It was resolved to ask the Feathcrscon County Council to put the Rimutaka Hill fence in order where affected by tho recent road repairs; also to request them to erect a fence at the approach of the bridge near the Foatherston Dairy Factory. The Wollingtou City Council notified that owing to the lack of funds i* could not contribute towards the cost of tho Rimutaka Hill-road.
There was an entry of 900 head of oafctio for the Masterton Cattle Fair yesterday; most of the beasta were in pood oimdition, but Uk kidding wm hlmw, And jwmwi poor.
