GOVERNMENT MEDIATION.

' BERLIN, 7th February. v At the conclusion of' negotiations between the Chancellor and the Minister of Finance, and the representatives of the workers' and the officials of the organisations, the latter accepted the Government's pledge that it will immediately adjudicate upon wages and other questions as a suitable basis for calling off the strikes. :
