THE ENGLISH PIERROTS.
. The Dunedin Star, speaking of "A Dud Dream," a military sketch played by ttie English Pierrots, with Edmund Warrington, author and producer, in his original role, says:—"This is one of the funniest things imaginable, and in it Mr. Lawrence and Mr. Warrington, as the Aussie and Tommy respectively, were simply great. The latter's general 'get-up,' his facial expression, and his 'business' were laughter-provoking to a degree. Mr. Lawrence was the breezy Aussie to the life, and Mr. Cooke (as the sergeant-major), Mr. Schofield (as the doctor), and Mr. Austin (as the CO.) helped the story along in good style. 'A Dud Dream' is a thing to see and chuckle over for a long time. Altogether the entertainment provided by the English Pierrots is of a sparkling kind that one longs for in these serious times, and, as such can be heartily commended." As the English Pierrots are well and favourably known, intending theatregoers are advised to reserve their seats at the Bristol to-morrow morning. The Wellington season is limited to six nights, opening at the Grand Opera House, commencing on Saturday evening.
