HIS MAJESTY'S THEATRE.
"Hits and Bits," the now revue pre- I sented at His Majesty's Theatre last evening, is a pleasing medley of songs, dances, sketches, and burlesques. There are a number of entertaining vocal items, including "Take a Pair of Sparkling Eyes," "When the Dixie Minstrels Hit the Town," "Nobody's Baby," and "Miserere" scene from "II Trovatore." The dancing is of a high standard, the work of the ballet being particularly good. The comedy work is in the hands of Kennedy Allen, Daisy Yates, and Yorke Green, and the trio make the most of their opportunities. The revue concluded with an amusing burlesque of the grand opera, "Rigoletto." The vaudeville programme contained several items of merit. Maggie Foster contribu. ted several selections on the violin; Baron pleased with his exhibition of ventriloquism; Corona played acceptably on his silver cornet; and Laura Guerite sang and danced in approved style.
