JUNIOR REPRESENTATIVES
WAIRARAPA v: MARLBOROUGH.
BLENHEIM, 10th August. The Waiuarapa junior Rugby team de^ feated Mauborough juniors by 15 points to 3. The visitors were Superior m all departments of the game, which was fast and open. The local* attacks were repeatedly nullified by the fine defensive play of the visitors. Wairarapa were penalised several times when in good positions, but the Marlborough kicking was weak, only one effort being successful. The Wairarapa score consisted of five tries, but the goal-kicking was very defective. The visitors secured the ball most times, the backs opening up well. The score at half-time was/9 to nil, Marlborough scoring just after the resumption of play from a penalty near the visitors' goal. '
