' AUCKLAND,' 9th August. A conference of parties in the city abattoirs' dispute was held to-day on summons by the .Industrial Commissioner, following the unions-application for interpretation of the award in regard to cutting up carcases. The City Council'disputed . the tmion's position, but the Commissioner held that an attempt had been made by the union to settle the matter, therefore he was in a position to deal with the, matter, but required evidence. As the then manager of the abattoirs was in hospital, the proceedines were adjourned
