KELBURN v. MASTERTON.

A return^ match between teams from the Masterton and Kelburn Tennis Clubs was played on Saturday, the local team on this occasion winning. The Wairarapa visitors were handicapped by .not being accustomed to asphalt courts, and also by the long motor journey. Although they wei* defeated in most of the games the visitors played some keen contests. The results were as follow, the Kelbum players being mentioned first in each case:

Singles: Melody lost to Gawith, C. Earle beat James, D. Earle/beat Jones, Malfroy beat Hull, Kean beat Richardson, Wilson beat Boddington.

Doubles: Earle and Earle beat Gawith and RichaTdson, Malfroy and Melody beat Groves and Richardson, Kean and Wilson beat Boddington and Hull.
