FILM HOUSE STAFF.
The annual staff picnic of Film House was held'at Day's Bay, and proved an unqualified success, some 120 people availing themselves 6£ the opportunity for a day s outing. The occasion of the picmo formed a tynely. welcome back to New Zealand 01 Mr. Henry Haywavd, chairman of directors, who has .been absent in Australia for some months.. Sports of all H>nds were i n' dulged in, and the prizes wore presented at tea by Mr. Haywjrd. The winners of the various events were: —Swimming Race (men), H. Righton, 1; B. Warcup, 2. Swimming Race (ladies), Mrs. Do Chateau, 1; Mies Do Chateau, 2. Film House Championship (ladies), donated by Mrs. Rightan, Miss Qharles, 1; Miss Dean, 2.Film House Championship (men), A. Hodson, 1; V. Langdon, 2. i'our-legged Race (men), Latham, Hadrow, H. -Righton, 1; (ladies),. Misses Peterson, Rosewarnc, Weight. 1. Hopping Race (men), Wilson, 1; Weaver, 2. "Broken Melody," Warcup and Miss De Chateau. Relay Race, Misses Koori and Charles and Messrs. Neazor and Warcup. Walking Race Uadies), MJ6S Rosew&rne, 1; Miss Charles, 2. Lochinvar Race, A. Hodson. and Miss Peterson. Film House Handicap (open), men, L. Wilson, 1; W. Smith,.2. Cigar-, etto Race, A. Hodson and Miss Peterson, 1. Elopement Race, A. Hodson and Miss 0. Cl»pham. Festivities, were kept up to a lite ho at, terminating in a, dance in the pavilion.
